The application offers two modes, general and advance. In general, thanks to three drop down menus you can quickly choose what iPod model to prepare your video for, the video and audio rate. As you will see, the majority of these are in MP4. We were a little bit disappointed with the advance mode, which lets you enter your own setting, however lacks any sort of choice. Similarly, it's nice to have a preview, but the one in the application is simply to small to really serve any purpose.
Xilisoft DVD to iPod Converter takes a little bit of time to install and you will have to choose between PPC and Intel versions, as the application is not universal.
